Asanify and Wisemonk both list India EOR from $99 per employee per month, so the choice turns on terms rather than the headline fee. Asanify (Kolkata, founded 2019) bundles its HRMS, covers other countries from $199 and uses a 12-month auto-renewing term. Wisemonk (Bengaluru, founded 2020) works only in India and asks for no minimum commitment.

For a 15 LPA (₹15 lakh) engineer, either provider at $99 a month puts the all-in employer cost at about ₹17.07 lakh ($18,005) a year on Peorient’s cost model. The gaps open elsewhere: Asanify holds a refundable deposit worth one month of total cost, and Wisemonk’s own comparison page lists a top tier of $399 a month.

We checked the provider figures below on asanify.com, wisemonk.io, remunance.com and G2, and the statutory rules against official and legal sources, on 26 October 2026. Where a provider publishes only a “from” price or a range, we show both ends instead of guessing your quote. If you have not yet decided between an EOR and your own entity, our guide to the best EOR in India, comparing 12 providers, sets the wider context.

Peorient’s first recommendation for India hiring is Remunance, a Pune-based India specialist since 2004, priced on its calculator from $99 a month and capped at $199. At 15 LPA its $149 tier puts the hire at about ₹17.64 lakh ($18,605) a year all-in, so Asanify’s flat $99 is $600 a year cheaper at that salary. Disclosure: Peorient is affiliated with Remunance and Rivermate and may earn a referral fee if you choose them. Remunance is our featured India partner and is listed first in our recommendations.

Quick Answer

Peorient's first pick for India hiring is Remunance (affiliated; from $99 a month, capped at $199). • Peorient's first recommendation is Remunance (affiliated): from $99 per employee a month, $149 for salaries between ₹11.38 and ₹33.18 lakh, and never above $199.

Table comparing Asanify vs Wisemonk India EOR fees, all-in cost of a 15 LPA hire, base and services, with Remunance
Asanify and Wisemonk both start at $99 a month for India EOR, but Wisemonk's top tier reaches $399 and Asanify sets a 12-month term.

What is the main difference between Asanify and Wisemonk?

The main difference is scope. Asanify is an HR software company that also acts as employer of record in India and, partly through a partner network, in other countries, so its $99 EOR plan includes its VIP HRMS. Wisemonk is an India-only EOR and managed-services firm built around a dedicated India-based HR manager.

On price, the two are level for a standard India hire. For most buyers, a Wisemonk vs Asanify decision comes down to the deposit, the contract term, how each fee moves with salary and what you pay for contractors.

Who owns Asanify and Wisemonk, and where are they based?

Asanify is run by Asanify Technologies Private Limited, incorporated in Kolkata on 13 December 2019 and led by co-founders Priyom Sarkar (CEO) and Gaurav Prasad (COO). Wisemonk is the trading name of Storypeach Technologies Private Limited of Bengaluru, a business founder and CEO Aditya Nagpal started in 2020.

Asanify’s company identification number, U72900WB2019PTC235291, is registered with the Registrar of Companies, Kolkata, and shows as active in MCA-derived data. Check it on the MCA portal before you sign. On its India EOR page, Asanify says it “becomes the legal employer of your India hires”, so you need no entity, PAN or TAN of your own. It claims more than 3,000 customers globally, a number that includes users of its software.

Wisemonk’s privacy notice names Storypeach Technologies Private Limited, “doing business as Wisemonk”, as data fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, with a registered address in Seshadripuram, Bengaluru. Wisemonk says it employs staff “through our own Indian legal entity, with no partner network”. Its website footer also lists Storyy Inc. in Claymont, Delaware, without explaining that company’s role, so ask which entity signs your service agreement.

Wisemonk says it serves more than 300 companies and 2,000 employees. Our full Wisemonk review covers its track record and weak spots in more depth. We have not yet published a standalone Asanify review.

How much do Asanify and Wisemonk charge for an India EOR hire?

Both start at $99 per employee per month for an India EOR hire, charged on top of salary and statutory employer contributions. Asanify’s pricing page shows $99 as the plan price with no setup fee. Wisemonk’s pricing page says “starting from $99”, and its own Deel comparison page sets the top tier at $399.

Published EOR fees and contract terms, from asanify.com and wisemonk.io pricing and FAQ pages, checked 26 October 2026.

What does Asanify’s EOR pricing include for $99?

Asanify’s $99 plan covers its VIP HRMS, automated payroll, monthly payslips, consolidated payouts in your currency, provident fund, ESIC where applicable, Labour Welfare Fund, state professional tax, income tax deduction and filing, and 24×7 support. Employee health insurance is a separately priced add-on.

The commercial terms on its international pricing page matter more than the feature list. Its EOR contract runs for a 12-month initial term that renews automatically unless either side gives 60 days’ written notice, and fees for a billing cycle that has started are non-refundable. For India EOR it also holds “a refundable security deposit equal to one month of total cost” per employee, returned after the last payroll and statutory dues are settled.

One inconsistency needs resolving in writing. The pricing FAQ says “no setup fees, no onboarding fees”, while the India EOR page says “a one-time onboarding fee applies for new hires to cover employment agreements” without giving an amount. The India EOR page also says “from $99” rather than a flat $99, so confirm the fee does not step up for senior salaries.

How does Wisemonk’s EOR fee change with salary?

Wisemonk publishes a starting fee, not a fixed one. Its pricing page lists EOR “starting from $99” per employee per month, including an HR business partner as dedicated account manager, payroll, tax filing and statutory compliance, personalised insurance and well-being benefits, and onboarding with equipment setup.

Its Wisemonk vs Deel page, which says its data reflects May 2026, gives “$99 to $399/mo” and names $399 as the top tier, with no setup fee and zero markup on equipment, insurance and state filings. Neither page says which salary moves a hire into a higher tier. Our Wisemonk review recorded a range of $99 to $500 by salary band in April 2026, so treat the tier as quote-dependent.

What do Asanify and Wisemonk charge for contractors?

Asanify charges $18 per contractor per month for contractor management, plus $10 per contractor per month for international payouts where that applies. Wisemonk’s Contractor of Record service costs 6% of each contractor payment and includes compliant agreements, GST and TDS handling, invoice validation and a basic compliance review.

Asanify’s $18 fee equals 6% of a $300 (about ₹28,440) monthly payment, or $467 (₹44,240) with the payout add-on; above that, Asanify’s flat fee costs less. The services differ, though: Wisemonk sells contractor of record, while Asanify’s contractor page does not say it takes on misclassification responsibility. Wisemonk’s Deel comparison page still quotes $19 per contractor per month, so confirm which price applies. If the role looks like employment, read our guide to employee vs contractor classification first.

What does an India hire cost all-in with Asanify or Wisemonk?

A 6 LPA hire costs about ₹7.81 lakh ($8,238) a year all-in with Remunance, Asanify or Wisemonk at $99. At 15 and 30 LPA, Remunance’s $149 tier gives ₹17.64 lakh ($18,605) and ₹33.07 lakh ($34,884), against ₹17.07 lakh ($18,005) and ₹32.50 lakh ($34,284) at $99. Wisemonk’s $399 top tier, if quoted, adds about ₹3.41 lakh ($3,600) a year per hire.

All-in annual employer cost on Peorient's cost model (PF on the ₹25,000 ceiling, gratuity 4.81%, insurance ₹1,000 a month, ₹94.8 per USD, GST excluded). Remunance fee: Remunance EOR cost calculator, 26 Oct 2026 ($99 up to ₹11.38 lakh, $149 up to ₹33.18 lakh, $199 above). Asanify and Wisemonk fees from asanify.com and wisemonk.io, 26 October 2026. Lowest figure in each row in bold.

The method matches Peorient’s India hiring cost calculator. Statutory wages are 60% of gross. Employer PF is 13% (12% PF plus 0.5% EDLI and 0.5% admin) on wages capped at the ₹25,000 ceiling, in force since 17 September 2026 under the Code on Social Security, 2020, so it tops out at ₹3,250 a month. Gratuity is provisioned at 15/26 of monthly statutory wages per year (about 4.81%), and group health insurance is set at ₹1,000 a month. ESIC and statutory bonus do not apply at these salaries because gross pay exceeds ₹21,000 a month. GST on the fee is excluded.

The fee weighs most on junior hires. At 6 LPA a $99 fee is about 14% of the all-in cost; at 30 LPA it is about 3.5%. Against a $599 global platform, a $99 fee saves $6,000 per employee per year at any salary and Remunance’s $149 tier saves $5,400, which is why all three sit at the low end of employer of record cost in India.

Plan cash flow as well. On these numbers, Asanify’s one-month deposit would be roughly ₹65,000 at 6 LPA, ₹1.42 lakh at 15 LPA and ₹2.71 lakh at 30 LPA, refunded at exit. Neither Remunance nor Wisemonk states a deposit in the pricing we used, so ask both in writing. Your real insurance premium will differ from our ₹1,000 placeholder. For a role-specific estimate, see our breakdown of the cost to hire a software engineer in India.

Does Asanify also sell HRMS and payroll software to Indian companies?

Yes. Asanify sells HRMS and payroll software to Indian companies at ₹99 per employee per month (Essential) or ₹199 (VIP), with a 14-day free trial and no credit card. This is a different product from EOR: with the software your Indian entity remains the employer and carries the compliance, while with EOR Asanify is the employer.

Asanify’s India HRMS page says payroll calculates PF, ESI, professional tax and TDS automatically, handles gratuity and bonus calculations and generates the annual TDS certificate. According to its India pricing page, annual Essential or VIP plans include two months free, and the Enterprise tier for organisations with more than 500 employees adds compliance filing for PF, ESI, TDS and PT. On smaller plans, confirm whether Asanify or your own team files the returns.

How is payroll software different from an EOR?

Payroll software calculates; an EOR employs. With software, your company needs its own Indian entity, PF and ESIC registrations, a TAN for TDS and a Shops and Establishments registration in each state, and it signs the employment contract and carries the legal risk. With an EOR, the provider holds those registrations and employs your staff on your behalf.

Managed payroll sits between the two: you keep the entity and the provider runs payroll and filings. See our explainer on EOR vs PEO in India.

Does Wisemonk offer payroll for your own Indian entity?

Wisemonk does not sell standalone HR software, but it runs managed payroll for companies that already have an Indian entity. Its PEO services page says the service “starts at $49 per employee per month”, with no setup fee or minimum headcount, and sums up the split as “Your entity employs. We operate.”

That service covers monthly payroll, TDS and quarterly returns, EPF and ESIC returns under your registration numbers, and professional tax in each state. Asanify also lists global payroll outsourcing among its products but does not publish a price for it.

How do Asanify and Wisemonk handle EPF, ESIC, gratuity and TDS?

Both run the full India statutory payroll cycle as legal employer: EPF, ESIC where gross pay is ₹21,000 a month or less, state professional tax, Labour Welfare Fund, monthly TDS and the annual salary TDS certificate. Asanify lists each item in its EOR plan; Wisemonk lists monthly EPF, ESI, TDS, PT and LWF filings.

Two recent changes affect both providers. The four Labour Codes came into force on 21 November 2025, bringing a common definition of wages that can move the PF and gratuity base, and fixed-term employees now qualify for gratuity after one year. Under the Income-tax Act 2025, Form 130 has replaced Form 16 and quarterly salary TDS statements are filed in Form 138, according to the Income Tax Department’s Form 130 FAQs.

Ask each provider how it restructured salaries for the Codes and which forms your employees will receive. For the rates behind each row, see our guides to EPF and ESIC employer contributions, gratuity rules in India and professional tax slabs by state, and our India labour laws compliance guide for the wider picture. This is not legal or tax advice: specifics depend on your facts, so confirm them with an adviser.

How do benefits, security and support compare?

Wisemonk publishes more benefits detail: health cover from ₹3 lakh to ₹25 lakh per employee, plus top-up insurance, term life, NPS and OPD options. Asanify offers group health insurance for the employee and family as a paid add-on, with term life and accident cover optional. Neither names its insurer or premiums on the pages we checked.

Wisemonk also says its tax-optimised salary structures add 5% to 8% to in-hand pay, a claim to test against your own pay structure.

Which has stronger security certifications?

Neither is clearly ahead on public evidence. Wisemonk’s footer says “SOC 2 Certified” and “GDPR Compliant”, and its Deel comparison page claims SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001, although its EOR page describes “ISO-aligned processes”. Asanify’s India HRMS page states ISO 27001 certification; we found no SOC 2 claim on its pages.

Ask both for the current SOC 2 Type II report or ISO 27001 certificate, with its scope and date. Payroll files hold PAN, Aadhaar and bank details, so your security team should see the documents, not just the badge.

What support model does each provider offer?

Wisemonk assigns every client a dedicated India-based HR manager and says first responses typically arrive within 2 hours on business days. Asanify’s EOR plan lists 24×7 customer support, and its global EOR page mentions an assigned account manager. Its India HRMS page says the support team speaks Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Bengali.

Reviewers rate both highly. Asanify AI scores 4.9/5 from 381 reviews on G2 and Wisemonk scores 4.7/5 from 226 reviews, both as of 26 October 2026. Ratings this close say little on their own, so ask each provider for two client references at your company size.

How quickly can each provider onboard a hire?

Asanify says an India hire can go from signed agreement to cleared start date in 24 hours, with background checks, Aadhaar and PAN validation and bank onboarding run in parallel. Wisemonk says hires are onboarded “in under 48 hours”. Both are best cases; our Wisemonk review found PAN or Aadhaar document problems can add one to three days.

Foreign nationals take far longer: Wisemonk’s EOR page puts visa cases at six to ten weeks.

Which should you choose: Asanify or Wisemonk?

Peorient’s first recommendation for India hiring is Remunance, covered in the next section. Between these two, choose Wisemonk if India is your only market and you want no minimum term plus a named India HR manager. Choose Asanify if you want its HRMS bundled in, may hire outside India, or plan to run payroll on your own Indian entity later.

At $99 for a standard hire, the fee alone should not decide between them.

Which is better for a US startup’s first India hire?

Peorient’s first pick for a first India hire is Remunance: up to ₹11.38 lakh a year its $99 tier matches both providers’ entry fee, and its fee never rises above $199. Above ₹11.38 lakh it charges $149, $50 a month more than Asanify’s flat fee.

Between Asanify and Wisemonk, Wisemonk’s terms are lighter for a single hire: no minimum contract duration and no deposit stated on its pricing pages. Asanify’s 12-month auto-renewing term and one-month refundable deposit suit a company that already knows it will keep the hire for a year.

Asanify and Wisemonk both offer startup discounts, so ask. If you might add a hire in Europe or Southeast Asia within a year, Asanify’s other-country EOR from $199 keeps you on one contract. Our list of the best EOR services for startups widens the field.

Which suits an Indian company that wants payroll software plus EOR for a few hires?

Asanify is the more natural fit. An Indian company can run its own entity’s payroll on Asanify’s HRMS from ₹99 per employee per month and place a few people on EOR, in India at $99 or abroad from $199, with the EOR plan already including the VIP HRMS. One system then covers both groups.

Wisemonk can meet a similar need as a service rather than software: its managed payroll runs your entity’s payroll from $49 per employee per month, and its EOR handles extra India hires. It cannot employ anyone outside India. If self-serve software is the priority, compare Asanify with the tools in our HR software for India payroll guide. If you need only the EOR hires and not the software, Peorient’s first recommendation remains Remunance at its calculator tier.

Which works better when scaling to 25 India staff?

At 25 India staff, Peorient’s first recommendation is Remunance, whose fee bill runs from $29,700 a year if every salary sits in its $99 tier to $44,700 at $149, and never above $59,700 at its $199 cap. Asanify’s flat $99 and Wisemonk’s entry fee each cost $29,700. At this size, the question becomes whether to open your own entity.

Peorient’s model puts the two-year break-even near 19 employees at a ₹10,000 monthly EOR fee, slightly above $99, so 25 staff is the point to price a subsidiary. Remunance also offers subsidiary formation, so the same provider can quote both routes.

Senior hires change the fee bill. With five seniors above ₹33.18 lakh and 20 others up to ₹11.38 lakh, Remunance would charge $35,700 a year (five at $199, 20 at $99). If Wisemonk places the same five seniors in its $399 tier and the other 20 at $99, its bill is $47,700. Asanify’s flat $99 would stay at $29,700, provided its fee does not step up for senior salaries. Wisemonk’s Enterprise plan includes phased EOR-to-subsidiary migration, and it says a subsidiary usually makes sense past 20 full-time staff. Asanify’s own research claims break-even at roughly 52 employees, far higher than our model; its practical advantage is continuity, since the same HRMS can run payroll on your new entity.

Time the move around contract terms. Ask Remunance for its notice period in writing; Asanify needs 60 days’ written notice before its 12-month term ends; Wisemonk has no minimum term. Our EOR vs subsidiary decision guide shows the full model and its assumptions.

Which India EOR does Peorient recommend first?

Peorient’s first recommendation for India hiring is Remunance, a Pune-based India EOR founded in 2004. Its EOR cost calculator prices it from $99 per employee a month: $99 for annual salaries up to ₹11.38 lakh (USD 12,000), $149 up to ₹33.18 lakh (USD 35,000) and $199 above that, its highest tier.

Disclosure: Peorient is affiliated with Remunance and Rivermate and may earn a referral fee if you choose them. Remunance is our featured India partner and is listed first in our recommendations.

What would Remunance cost at 6, 15 and 30 LPA?

On Peorient’s cost model, Remunance brings a 6 LPA hire to about ₹7,80,930 ($8,238) a year all-in at its $99 tier, the same as Asanify and Wisemonk at $99. Hires at 15 and 30 LPA fall in its $149 tier (₹14,125 a month), at about ₹17,63,772 ($18,605) and ₹33,07,041 ($34,884) a year.

That makes Asanify’s flat $99 the lower fee at 15 and 30 LPA, by $600 (₹56,880) a year per hire, if its fee stays flat at those salaries. If Wisemonk quotes its $399 top tier for those hires, Remunance’s $149 costs $3,000 (₹2,84,400) a year less. Against a $599 global platform, it saves $5,400 (₹5,11,920) a year per hire.

Why does Peorient recommend Remunance first?

Remunance is Peorient’s featured, affiliated India partner, and three verifiable facts support the pick for India hiring:

  • A published fee ceiling. $199 is the highest tier on Remunance’s calculator, still $199 at a USD 200,000 salary. That is half Wisemonk’s $399 top tier and a third of the $599 Remote and Deel list.
  • India focus since 2004. Founded in Pune in 2004, Remunance focuses on India and offers EOR, international PEO, subsidiary formation and contractor of record, so the same provider can help when you outgrow EOR.
  • ISO 27001. Remunance’s homepage describes it as an ISO 27001-certified EOR in India. As with Asanify and Wisemonk, ask for the certificate, its scope and date.

What should you check before choosing Remunance over Asanify or Wisemonk?

Check Remunance’s contract term, notice period and any deposit in writing, the terms this comparison found decisive. Set them against Asanify’s 12-month auto-renewing term and one-month refundable deposit (about ₹1.42 lakh at 15 LPA) and Wisemonk’s no-minimum term.

If you need EOR outside India or HRMS software in the same contract, Asanify publishes prices for both; ask Remunance whether it can cover either before you sign.

What should you ask Asanify or Wisemonk before you sign?

Ask each provider for a written, salary-specific quote that shows the monthly fee, any onboarding fee, the deposit, the contract term and notice period, GST treatment, the insurance premium and exit costs. Then confirm which legal entity signs your service agreement and which one employs your staff.

  1. Is the fee flat at my salary, or does the role fall into a higher tier?
  2. Is there a one-time onboarding fee, and how much is it?
  3. How large is the deposit, when is it refunded and what can be deducted from it?
  4. What is the minimum term, how much notice ends it and are commenced months refundable?
  5. Is GST charged on the fee invoice?
  6. Which insurer provides health cover, at what sum insured and what premium?
  7. Can I see the current SOC 2 Type II report or ISO 27001 certificate?
  8. What happens to employees, records and deposits if I move to my own entity?
